Cozumel, Mexico 3-2-2012

Today we docked on the lovely Island of Cozumel. We took local taxis to Chankanaab were the kids had a dolphin encounter. The weather here is almost too hot for this Minnesotan but a dip in the ocean does help. The park has all kinds of activities including snorkeling, diving, seal shows and iguanas to name a few.

The Iguana is in the middle of the picture

Costa Maya, Mexico 3/1/2012

Today we docked in Costa Maya, Mexico. For a $2.00 taxi ride ten minutes down the road we landed on the beach at a placed called Nohoch Kay. For $40.00 a person, they provided the sun, the chair and all the Dos Equis and fish tacos anyone could want. A little snorkeling, kayaking and wind surfing were available too.....and....for the real brave, wave runners. We just enjoyed the warm weather and sea breeze for most of the day.

The amazing fish tacos made with grouper.

Back at the ship, we celebrated Angie's 30th birthday!!!!

Two more days at sea then home to snowing cold Minnesota Ugh!!!

Belize City 2-29-2012

The beautiful Caribbean waters around Belize City are amazing. It's easy to see why people are drawn here. Per the locals, many American's retire here and living is cheap.

We hired a company called V.I.V. to take about 11 of us to these awesome Crystal Caves. We walked a little over a mile thru the rain forest to but out tube is this river and cruise thru an enormous cave system.

In the evening we celebrated Peyton's 4th birthday.

Roatan, Honduras

Today we docked on the island of Roatan.

We went on an excursion to Gumbalimba Park and Tabyana Beach. In the park/jungle we encountered among other things, Parrots and monkeys. Both of which were very friendly and sat on our shoulders and heads.

Rob and Angie found themselves with another member to their family.

We spent a better part of the after noon at the beautiful beach of Tabyana.

At Sea

The beautiful Caribbean Sea was pretty rocky today, "motion in the ocean" they say. Lazy day, had a spa treatment including a facial.....ahhhhhh. Played Bingo, didn't win anything. Diner with family and friends was amazing, the ship has excellent dining. Peyton and Ally fell asleep at the dinner table, they've been having so much fun. Can't wait to share pictures.

Roatan tomorrow!!!

Tampa

We drove to Tampa this morning and ditched our rental cars and boarded the Norwegian Star Cruise ship. It was cold and rainy and we had a hard time getting in the festive mood. We did meet up with some of our Minnesota friends and that cheered us up a bit.

Rob and Angie got a family suite that is quite large, we are all jealous. Here's Ally posing with a towel animal on the king size bed.

My and Kathy's room has a balcony but is pretty small.

We are cruising down to Roatan Honduras and it will take us until Tuesday. We are currently passing by Cuba. Tomorrow is an "at sea" day. Hopefully it will be sunny and warm....(:-)
