Roatan, Honduras

Today we docked on the island of Roatan.




We went on an excursion to Gumbalimba Park and Tabyana Beach. In the park/jungle we encountered among other things, Parrots and monkeys. Both of which were very friendly and sat on our shoulders and heads.

Rob and Angie found themselves with another member to their family.












We spent a better part of the after noon at the beautiful beach of Tabyana.

At Sea

The beautiful Caribbean Sea was pretty rocky today, "motion in the ocean" they say. Lazy day, had a spa treatment including a facial.....ahhhhhh. Played Bingo, didn't win anything. Diner with family and friends was amazing, the ship has excellent dining. Peyton and Ally fell asleep at the dinner table, they've been having so much fun. Can't wait to share pictures.



Roatan tomorrow!!!

Tampa

We drove to Tampa this morning and ditched our rental cars and boarded the Norwegian Star Cruise ship. It was cold and rainy and we had a hard time getting in the festive mood. We did meet up with some of our Minnesota friends and that cheered us up a bit.




Rob and Angie got a family suite that is quite large, we are all jealous. Here's Ally posing with a towel animal on the king size bed.

My and Kathy's room has a balcony but is pretty small.

We are cruising down to Roatan Honduras and it will take us until Tuesday. We are currently passing by Cuba. Tomorrow is an "at sea" day. Hopefully it will be sunny and warm....(:-)

Gatorland

Today we went to Gatorland USA and saw tons of alligators and some were pretty ornery.




No car or stroller problems ...yea!!

These guys look pretty mean, the first one is an alligator the other a crocodile.





We ended the night at a fancy seafood restaurant named Big Fin in Orlando. I ordered this guy....here's lookin' at ya!!!!

Magic Kingdom

Today we went to Disney's Magic Kingdom. Here's Ally getting ready with sun screen.




The weather is in the 80's, sunny and humid with a nice breeze most of the time......





but we managed to stay cool.



I had to include another picture of Ally today, I don't know what she's laughing at but it was so cute the way she kept wearing her sunglasses upside down. I guess they fit her better.



After about eight hours, we ended the night with Tinkerbell




Unfortunately the day wasn't without its mishaps. First off, Matt lost the keys to one of the two rental cars in the "It's a small world" ride, but Angie just happened to be behind him and grabbed them. Then someone STOLE (or mistakenly took) the double stroller Angie and Rob rented while we were eating lunch. (The park did replace it at no additional cost.) Then when we left the park, one of the rental cars wouldn't start. Ugh!!!!! Luckily Matt redeemed himself by finding the park staff to help jump start the car.

We're here!!!

We made it to Orlando without any delays (I guess Obama's here today). Not only did Peyton get his first airplane ride, he also rode the luggage carousel. There was a little navigation problems on my part getting to the Condo so it was dark by the time we got there but the place exceeded my expectations. We found a little Italian place close by and called it a night. It's extremely humid here tonight hoping for cooler weather tomorrow (I can't believe I just said that).

Getting ready

Tomorrow we will be boarding an airplane and flying to Orlando. Stay in a rented Condo for three nights, then driving to Tampa to board a cruise ship. This trip evolved around my Daughter in law, Angie, having a milestone birthday.
Grab your cyber suitcase and come along if you like, we will be stopping along the way at any interesting sites, maybe even find a few souvenirs.
